We proudly hosted the Boots to Business Veteran Entrepreneurs' Summit, an event bringing together veterans, aspiring business owners and local resource providers. Attendees gained key tools for business growth, including guidance from the Department of Human Services and the Central Procurement Unit.

We are excited to announce the relaunch of the Unity Homes Program, our initiative that connects realtors and landlords to housing opportunities for underserved families.
The program resumes next month at no cost to current members. Annual memberships have already been refunded as a token of our appreciation for your patience and continued partnership.

We’re more than halfway through the year, and 2025 has already been a year of tremendous strides for Unity in the Community. One of our proudest moments so far was hosting our first Boots to Business workshop for military veterans. The room was filled with veteran business owners who came to gain valuable insight on starting and operating businesses in Maryland.
This was our very first event focused on veteran entrepreneurs, and it quickly became clear that it is something our community needs. Many veterans, including myself, leave the military and enter the workforce only to realize that additional income or a different path is necessary. We often turn to entrepreneurship but find ourselves searching for a community of like-minded individuals who understand the transition from military life to civilian life and then into business ownership.
Boots to Business created that space for us. It gave veterans a chance to connect, learn, and grow together.
We are excited to build on this foundation and look forward to offering more of these opportunities in the future.
